Prayer Request
08/087/09
Anne Daniel To all Prayer Warriors,
We have a 16 year old young lady in the Trinity Church named Molly Moses.  Friday night while fishing with her dad, the boat hit something and she and a friend were thrown from the boat.  She was hit by the propeller.  Her right foot and ankle were badly damages, her left leg was cut off around the hip.  Her right hip is broken and her pelvis is broken in several places.  Her bladder and most of her female parts are still there.  She has a permanent colostomy.
She was in surgery for 14 hrs straight.  She was back in Sunday for removal of dead tissue areas.  They are going to put in a feeding tube today. They are just trying to keep her stable and alive right now.  Being in the Tenn. River opens the door for many infections.  Molly is currently at Huntsville Hosp. but will be moved to B'ham or Nashville soon for more specialized treatment.  Molly is not in the clear yet.
Her dad needs prayer as well.  He is blaming himself for her injuries.  Please PRAY!

Death of two Speed horse
05/29/09
Susie Wright
We lost Black Fancey Girl a couple of weeks ago, and it was truly heart breaking.  It was posted in the speed racking group this morning that Sandy Preston lost Crimson Tide. She was a great mare and will truly be missed. I know how Sandy feels it is very hard to lose them. My heart goes out to her.

Crimson Tide Lori Crimson Tide was laid to rest yesterday. She shattered a pastern while preparing for an upcoming show. She was the first speed racker I rode. Sandy was always so generous to share her wonderful horses and many of us will carry wonderful memories of Crimson our whole lives. My heart goes out to Sandy on this loss.

How to lock your car safely
12/15/08
Lanette Toler Snopes approved.

I locked my car --- as I walked away I heard my car door unlock . I went back and locked my car again three times. I looked around and there were two guys sitting in a car in the fire lane next to the store. When I looked  straight at them they did not unlock my car again.
How to lock your car safely
While traveling my son stopped at a roadside park. He came out to his car less than 4-5 minutes later and found  someone had gotten into his car, and stolen his cell phone, laptop computer, GPS navigator briefcase.....you name it ... called the police and since there were no signs of his car being broken into- the police told him   that there is a device that robbers are using now to clone your security code when you lock your doors on your car using your key-chain locking device.. They sit a distance away and watch for their next victim. They know  you are going inside of the store, restaurant, or bathroom and have a few minutes to steal and run.
The police officer said ...to be sure to manually lock your car door-by hitting the lock button inside the car, that way if there is someone sitting in a parking lot watching for their next victim it will not be you. When you hit the
lock button on your car upon exiting...it does not send the security code, but if you walk away and use the door
lock on your key chain- it sends the code through the airwaves where it can be stolen, something totally new to
us...and real ... be aware of this and please pass this note on..look how many times we all lock our doors with
our keys...just to be sure we remembered to lock them....and bingo someone have our code...and whatever was in   the car...can be gone. Keep safe everyone

Put keys by
the bed

11/20/08
Nell Brown Lanette Toler forwarded this email to me. I  think it is great.
PUT KEYS BY THE BED AT NIGHT.
Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents your Dr's office, the check-out girl at the market, everyone you run across. Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.

This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this:

It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar rapist won't stick around... After a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone.  Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.  Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone. My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him.  He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there's a problem.

Log Book Certified Mail
11/19/08
Margie Smith
Would the person who sent her log book to me already via certified mail please email me? To everyone else, please, please do NOT send your log books to me before mid-December. The time frame for the end of the trail year is the end of December. I have a small office at home to do all the RAA work, along with the therapy organizations I belong to, along with my school work (I am a special education teacher), along with my collie and Maine Coon paperwork that needs attention. Then, I do have a family - so when you send me your log books way in advance, it really is a hardship as I have no place to keep the books until after December. So, for the rest of you, do NOT send them to me - I only need to hear from the person who did. She sent it certified mail - if that helps her to know who I'm referring to. Thank you.

I too want to thank the horse show committee for a great celebration, so many new faces and horses out in the ring this year,
with the gas prices the way they were, I was a little worried about our show.  But, once again I seen first hand what the racking
horse family can do, we all pulled together and had one of the finest shows that we could of had.

I want to tell Barry Troxtell that I was so happy to see him out and about again it is that determination I referred to earlier,
he too could of quit but he refused to.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the trainers show, come and help make this show a success

Thank You
